RUBY - Bless Your Heart - Reach out for emotional and spiritual support to heal and mend your heart.


With Mars in retrograde in Aires the ascension energies are particularly challenging at the moment. For many of us karmic contracts are ending so that we may align with our highest possible timeline. This means that relationships, jobs and friendships are coming to an end. (Sometimes quite abruptly!) This can cause heartache and self-care is essential at this time! This is the RUBY card from Doreen Virtue's Crystal Angels Oracle Deck. It indicates your heart may need some tender loving care following a significant loss, but also has other meanings as well. Your physical heart may be in need of a dietary change, exercise or even medical intervention. This card may also be a sign guiding you to connect to the sacred heart of Jesus for spiritual healing and purification. God and the angels are blessing your heart and guiding you to take the path that's true and right for you.


A MEDICALLY BROKEN HEART - TAKOSUBO CARDIOMYOPATHY

Having a broken heart can have physical implications in addition to emotional ones. Sudden emotional stress (positive or negative) can cause the left ventricle of the heart to become stunned or paralyzed. This can cause symptoms that mimic those of a heart attack such as chest pain, shortness of breath, nausea and vomiting. Studies have shown that the brain registers the emotional pain of heartbreak the same way as physical pain. The brain does not know the difference. The hormones that make us feel good, dopamine and oxytocin, are released when we feel love and attraction toward another. Just like a drug, these hormones are addictive which can encourage us to repeat certain behaviors (that make us feel good). When heartbreak happens, the body stops releasing these hormones and releases cortisol instead (the fight or flight hormone).

HOW TO HEAL A BROKEN HEART

1. Self - Care - a daily ritual of self-care (even if you do not feel like it) is a tremendous help when healing heartbreak.

2. Exercise - Spending time exercising outdoors is also very grounding and will help to stabilize your emotions.

3. Find other (healthy) ways to naturally increase the levels of dopamine and oxytocin in your body. (www.healthline.com/nutrition/how-to-increase-dopamine)

a. increase protein intake

b. consume less saturated fat

c. take probiotics

d. exercise

e. take steps to get adequate and restful sleep

f. listen to music / dance

g. meditate

4. Heart chakra work - meditation, affirmations, etc. Heart chakra work builds self-esteem and self-love.

5. Do anything that brings you joy, have fun!!!
